Healing With Pine Oil

morning Pictures, Images and PhotosG'morning and Happy Tuesday! Did you all sleep comfy and cozy? I am hoping you are nodding "yessss".

I have an appt. with my neurosurgeon today so I am going to just jump right in...

Healing With Pine Oil

Pine oil is an effective natural weapon against infection and disease. Its woody odor is associated with cleanliness.

Pine has long been used in saunas and its needles burned to clean and deodorize rooms. Blended with Lavender and Lemon in a vaporizer, Pine is invigorating, promoting feelings of strength and energy.

Pine oil's antiseptic and deodorizing qualities are highly valued; it's an antidote for Catarrh, pneumonia and sinusitis. It cools fever but warms shivers. It combines well with other antiseptic oils, such as Cypress, Cedarwood or Eucalyptus. It's germicidal action makes it a valuable cleanser.

In a poultice or rub, it stimulates circulation and relieves muscular aches and pains.

Active Ingredients Of Pine Oil

Monoterpenes~These make up 60% of Pine oil, consisting mostly of Limonene and Pinene with small amounts of Camphene, Phellandrene and Myrcene. These give Pine its antiseptic and antiviral properties.

Esters~Pine contains small quantities of Esters-Bronyl Acetate and Terpinyl Acetate. These contribute to its fresh odor and antifungal activity.

Cineole~This Oxide has potent expectorant and decongestant properties and gives the oil its noticeably medicinal, camphorous scent.
